Let me give you an example.

I recently went to see a restaurateur who was concerned about the level of the profits on his sales of wines and beverages. I looked at his systems and explained to him that it was very important, that he had to have proper stock controls in place to ensure the margins were correct and that nothing went missing. I suggested to him improvements that he should make to his systems. He put these in place and within a short space of time profits went up by over 5 percent.
