Keren Malki (The Malki Foundation in English) serves Israel-resident families who have made the decision to care at home for their children with serious special needs. Non-sectarian and non-political in all respects, it provides specialist equipment and enables high-quality paramedical therapeutic care for families from every part of Israel’s social and religious spectrum.

The Shire London

The golf day was organised and hosted by Green & Peter Accountants and was held at The Shire London golf course and started off with an early breakfast for the golfers.

The weather was lovely and the course was in fantastic condition, all agreed that the setting and conditions were perfect for an early autumn golf day! The players were looking forward to a round of golf on the only course in England designed by the late, great, Seve Ballesteros.

The course at The Shires is challenging, to say the least, and the teams set out with the knowledge that it would be a tricky days’ golf but all were optimistic as always!

It’s A Team Game!

There were four teams of four players, everyone giving their time and golfing prowess over to support a very worthwhile cause in Keren Malki.

The overall winning team was made up of our own Robert Green, with Howard Davis, Ron Las and Neil Sint.

The overall tournament winner was Howard Davis with Cedric Solomon getting the prize for the longest drive and Darren Lee hit the nearest to pin shot. Well done all.

The golfers dug in and finished the rounds, albeit things were running a little later than anticipated (probably due to the water hazards and low flying geese!) and the golfers started to arrive back in the club house for lunch where they would be joined by further, non-golfing, guests for a little bit of business networking and a fund-raising raffle.

Supporting Keren Malki in the UK.

We were joined by Nicole Gordon from Keren Malki UK and by local presenter Jeremy Jacobs who was hosting the event. During the lunch courses Nicole gave us all a good insight into the work of Keren Malki and the challenges the organisation faces.

Jeremy was the perfect host, as always, and between him and Nicole they went on to draw the raffle with prizes kindly donated by local businesses and individuals.

The day was a great success and helped to raise awareness of Keren Malki in the North London area.

We at Green & Peter, along with Nicole and all at Keren Malki would like to thank everybody who took part and contributed to what was a thoroughly enjoyable day’s golf and socialising!
